Best pet to capture early on?

Anyone got tips? So far captured around 10 pets. But I can only store two..T_T But base on the atk damage the best pet is the bee. Forgot the name, but it's the only one i'm using now. Currently lvl 16. Also i asked in game everyone recommends me this pet as well. It doesn't look cool but I guess it's pretty strong. Is there another pet that anyone would recommend, in the early going?

The bee is honestly your best pet I believe for your level. Though it may be good now make sure to change it to any monster at around level 25-30 though its just my opinion. I think its called a bumble bee isn't it? Anyway it is very good for your level.

bees are great for pk (high damage), but their hp and defense are really low. stone-man (i dunno what it's called in the english version) at lvl 18 or 19 will be your most durable pet. yes, they're cumbersome, but their high hp and defense make a good all-around pet, their damage isn't so bad either. some tamers keep this pet forever, i personally don't like them because they move slow and are always blocking my view in dungeons.

btw where do you get that pet? my bee as no hp and gets it but kicked.

you can find that pet by the entrance of level 19 dungeon for humans, close to the top of the map, in the northern mountains, north of sword city.

i lost about 12% exp swimming and walking all the way up there. But i got it =D

And yea it's slow...has a lot of defense and more skills than my other pets. Too me about 15 minutes to capture it though.

that pet is called the grotto crystal and it can't be compared to a sawfly (ur bumblebee version) since it has the highest amount of def and mdef for that level.. sure its not that strong yet.. but it will outgrow all other pets once leveled into its 60's it will have about the same def as a yao shou same mdef as you have and it will normally hit for 2000 damage .. with a debuff it will go as much as 2500 and ur golem alone can kill an unsuspecting fa shih or yu ling in seconds.. the dwonside is that it moves slower than most pets..my crystal at lvl 76 can tank 3 to 5 lvl 80 mobs at once with me spot healing after 3-4 spell casts..

taming a pet gives you an egg in your inventory. you then have to take the egg to the pet npc to get it incubated. that puts the egg into your pet backpack as a pet. to make room in your pet backpack (as in remove pets), you need to unincubate a pet (also from pet npc), or whatever unincubating is called.

IMO (and just about any WF's opinion on my server), the best pets to tame early on are:

1. Small Bear/Dodo Bear/Dudu Bear - @lvl 20. Its snip-snap skill (stun) can't be bought anywhere. And a lvl 80 Small Bear is waaaayyy tougher than the lvl 80 Battle Bear. Shame I din't know this earlier.

2. Little Sawfly - @lvl 8. Again, shame I din't find out about this around the time I started playing. They'll grow into tough tankers (although I don't think as tough as a FLying Piglet) and there's this trick that I think only works with them.... You can have your sawfly kill a melee boss (Hades Quill etc.) without the monster even noticing your pet, while you're in the air.

3. Grotto Crystal Golem - @lvl 17(?). Yes, the ones found in Fire Grotto (lvl 19 dungeon). Slow movement speed, slow damage-dealing, but man.... They're TOUGH. Another pet I didn't get to level. -_-"

You know how it is when you reach a certain level and you're all excited to tame a new pet? Don't do the same mistake I did, 'cos raising pets take FOREVER. Love that Golem. xD

About the Dodo bear, you're never going to capture it. The competition for it is so stiff that you'll only get it if you have a casting reduce time pot.

True. And failing to tame a rare pet in PW on an already not-so-good-day IRL never helps. xD

Easier to deal with fellow tamers beating you, though. Some just opt to be aholes and kill the pet. >.<

I saw Petite sawfly at level 9 can be the most PK helpful. That thing can kill a mage in a couple hits... However expect to heal it a lot. A level 70 sawfly did 200s on my level 50 warrior.

If it isn't as strong as a dodo bear at level 20, then it's not going to get stronger at higher levels. Stats are all proportional level to level, so whichever one is stronger at 20 will be whichever one is stronger at 50. However, dodo bear might be considered stronger just because of its stun, so statwise, I'm unsure. <_<

Molten Lava Crystal has SLIGHTLY better stats since it is 1 level lower from the start. Fiery Lava Rime has bashing at 1 level higher. The better pet then, is the Molten Lava Crystal, since you can level up that skill with some money, whereas you can't increase the Rime's stats with any amount of money.

Also, foxy isn't as good as the bee, stats wise. If you can be bothered, train a bee up to your lvl, it's well worth it.

and any turtle for water will do.

Anything else isnt as good as these 2. You see others from people who dont wish to be common. The cutie bunny and the like are about worthless. they are "show pets" and look alot like those gay assed Pokemon.

I have used both the fiery and the lava, and, 2 servers later and 3 WF later im still using the Lava. it plain and simply will own the fiery.

The pet is located at 498, 991 (Molten Lava Crystal) on the map.
Get a flying mount at level 30 by visiting the ADC (ancient dragon city) elder at 570,648 and accepting the quest. If you don't have a mount yet you will be walking or teleporting alot to finish the quest.

You can fly to the logging area, just shy of the shade tower due west to find one. Or you can walk there on foot, long walk stay on road to avoid agro.

Another really good monster is The Glacier Warrior, located on 286, 965 on the map. It's a nice "show and tell" mob, lots of HP and very good ATK. The only drawback is that it's really REALLY huge and blocks the camera alot if your a point and click traveller.
