(The above image may break one day, since I'll be deleting it some day)

As the image says, one of the servers has a connection speed which is really fast, the other is suffering exceptional amounts of lag (intolerably so). I recommend if you have not picked a server yet, this should help you decide.

which one is the laggy one?

The laggy one looks like a = with a ^ under it for the second character. The servers in the screen shot show one in green which is only 266ms, the other one (red) is over 3kms. 3kms is bad (to say the least). Going that slow, you will have times where you wait for 5-10 seconds for the server to respond. World chat is full of lag complaints (you can tell regardless of language). Disconnection is common-place, and waiting for maybe a minute to see if you are still alive wasn't that uncommon either.

All-in-all, don't pick that one. >.x

Won't the malay servers be different anyway?

This topic is referring to the current servers available, to accommodate anyone who wishes to play now. I don't even know if they have came out with any server details yet for the english release.

And yes, on a regular basis the connections won't be that bad, it's fine as a general rule, but that one has been acting up quite a bit (mostly over the weekend). Makes the other one more reasonable, so that game schedules are not interrupted.

Your topic title says PWO (MY). This stands for PWO Malaysian? Just to clarify things, the Malaysian version will be in full English (no patch needed), with the servers based in Malaysia. Currently, the version that needs patching is the Chinese version (servers in China). I see Chinese characters in the screenshot in the first post, yet you say those are the Malaysian servers? I think you got them mixed up.

The current server that English people are playing IS the Malaysian server. It's also in their language. They plan on releasing two chains of servers, one which is english, one which is not (and is already out).

Try to patch the Chinese's local version, you will get an IP Blocked error. You can only use the english patch on the Malaysian Client/server. As I mentioned before, according to the system as well, the registration looks to be translated but registers to the same database. The account server for both is probably the same server. The only difference is each version only gives you access to certain server sets.

Think I'm wrong? Try following the patch guide, the registration link and download link point to the chinese version of the Malaysian website.

I play on both servers. Both servers are totally different. They don't use multiple servers like flyff. I wonder if MY-Pw is under estimating the total number of players worldwide that will play this game. If it lags like hell...definately gonna leave a bad first impression on players. I seriously hope they do clusters or something like flyff.

Wait, so the Malaysian version is already released? If I follow Tor's instructions, I get to play on a Malay server? And I won't have to redownload the client? Gosh, now I'm confused @.@

It's not out yet for the english version. The instructions that I gave are for the malaysian version which is the same company which will release the english version. For now all you can do is play the malaysian version that you have to patch . The patch is good but still messy. It's the unofficial english version.

You'll definately have to download the client when it comes out officially in English.

And yes, they do share the same accounts. But the player database is not the same. So when the english version comes out, you can still login with your account but a new fresh slate.

No, because I have a monthly download limit I do not wish to exceed. Also, seeing how I'm caught up with uni work, I can wait =D

Can I ask you to download it near the end of the month. >.>

That way you can use what is left over.
