=D I would have posted this earlier, but went to go watch "good luck chuck". A freaking funny ass movie if anyone wants to go watch. Please do not direct link to these files. Please point to this thread only if you want to share the links please =D I uploaded into one of my servers. It has a lot of bandwidth, but not infinite. So get these while you can. Please download 1 file at a time for maximum speed. Also I recommend a download manager like flashget or orbit.

6:00pm PST 09/25/07 - I am currently moving servers. If these are not downloadable, they will be back up soon.
6:15pm PST 09/25/07 - I removed the downloads from the public for now as I move everything to the new servers.

After you are done downloading, please run the Create_PWENG.exe so it will put the file back together. I used http://www.dekabyte.com/filesplitter/ to split up the file. You may or may not need the program to put it back together. It's free so no worries.

I tryed downloading the 1st one then I went away for 4 hours. When I came back It said the download failed. Now its downloading super fast and it went from 0% to 100% in 25 minutes. That good or what?

Question, how big is the full client file at the bottom? If it's 2GB or so, then I guess I should be happy. My download is already at 10MB and I've only been downloading for like 6 minutes...I think thats good...how many MB are in a GB....*thinks*....*doesnt remember*...

OMFG. I had 4 files downloading at the same time then I got a virus.... 40 internet pages opened up one after another after another super fast and they were at 94...lol clicking on an adult link at fw.
I wont be downloading it anytime soon I guess...

Sno, Soul got a virus during the download somewhere else. Even if it was a virus in Tor's files, it easily could be someone else's fault (but then Tor would be the first one hit, and migrating it). Fortunately, this is not so.

Another noob question:

I'm downloading the individual files for the PW english client, and the file icon images all look - like a piece of paper, with a window(like on a computer) and a bunch of little icons inside of that.

Once I use the file Tor used to split the file, and put it back together, this should be fixed right? o.O

Anyone who has used it might know, just check over the files and see what has happened.

The installation should look like a CD ISO, with an autoplay and install file (unless he changed it). That should give you a hint about the results you get.

Eh, I'll start it tomorrow. I have a laptop, and I dont want to kill it by leaving it on overnight.

There's a lot of download options. So you should be fine. Also I tested the file myself, and it works.

Oks, if it works for you, then hopefully it'll be ok when I'm done getting the entire file. Also, since its in english, I should have an easier time figuring out how to make it work xP

And worste case scenario: it took me 24 hrs and 8 minutes to download the entire chinese version, over the course of 3 days. So if I have to download the full client in one shot, I can spare 3 days. I dont think I'll die if I get into the beta testing a little late x3

Downloading it in parts didn't work out so well. I can't seem to put the parts back together. Filesplitter doesnt have a function to put the files back together, and according to their help section, when you split the files, they make a separate file that you click when/if you want to unsplit all the files.

So I'll be spending the next 3 days downloading the full client with uTorrent. I might be a bit late getting into the Beta testing. Oh wells. *hopes laptop doesnt flat out spontaniously combust due to graphics* xP

And in response to Flyff, I had something like that happen to me a few days ago o.O
like a billion Internet Explorer windows flooded my computer screen. I guess I should run a virus scan D:

thats what happened to me. I just shut off my computer ASAP manually and then I restarted it and ran a virus scan and
found 4 viruses. I hope you didn't get em to. It looks like it came from the download file and not something else since you got it to.

Now for my new problem. How do I use that PWENG.exe? I tried using it and it said PWENG.rar1 did not exist which I already downloaded.

oks. I'm downloading parts 3 & 4 right now, I'll be able to get 5 & 6, and possibly even 7 or 8 done today. If the files dont go back together correctly or something, I've still got some time to download the full torrent, so its not an emergency yet ^_^

its perfectly normal. if you noticed, the file extensions are .1, .2, .3, etc and obviously windows cant recognise this type of file extension, thus explaining why you are getting the blank icon. after you have all 8 parts and run the create_pw.exe and it'll combine the 8 parts into PWENG.rar. Extract and install. tada~ lol.

FS, you need to have all your parts in the same folder, when u run the create_pw.exe, there'll be a filepath to indicate where you stored your parts, and another to show where u wanna combine it to. make sure the filepath to your parts are correct. You should see something like this:

EDIT: Meh, had no trouble putting parts back together, but on extraction, said that data1.pck was corrupted.

Currently downloading the full thing - at least it only takes 1 hour (shoulda done this in the first place -_-)

Fly...you really got a virus from those files? Are you sure you weren't visiting a porno site while downloading? I searched the java thing on google, nothing came up. False positive from your virus scanner?

Just select all the files, and copy them into one file, and then run the exe file. I'm downloading file 1 right now to check to see if it's corrupted. It's going fast, 400kb per sec.

@mon did you get it to work?

Edit: Ok it finished downloading for me, I tested and ran the exe file. And it worked. I even reinstalled the game. Also the file sizes match the original copies. Scanned with avast, and no viruses.

Thanks a ton, that helps a lot actually! :) The only problem is that I downloaded all 10 parts, and never got a 'creat_pw.exe' file. I dont suppose its small enough that someone could email it to me? =x If not, then perhaps someone could upload it so I could download it, or I could get it somewhere else?

And thank you, I'll run a virus scan just in case, but my billion windows popped up before I downloaded the PW english files, so idk if it was from that. I was using internet explorer at the time because my AOL was being a Fail >.<

I think it was just my internet explorer having some random script error...Internet explorer fails, idc what anyone says. xP

Another stupid question though(it probobly wont be answered until after I'm done downloading anyway) but I went to the actual filefront "weasle" profile like, and downloaded the files from there, and they are different ones, and the create_pw.exe file thinger is asking for the files from the first post. I'm assuming I need to install the ones from the first post...unless...*double checks weasle profile for 'create file'* yeah, Weaslechild's filefront page doesnt have any file to put the parts back together. Oh wells. I've waited this long, another day or two wont kill me, and I should actually be on time for the beta testing! xD

If you downloaded his, then just click on the first file and it should start o just put them all back together.

@flyff, dude I thought you were a computer wiz. Just right click and copy all the files to one location if it's not in 1 location, then run the exe file if you downloaded the file from my website. After you run the exe file, you then have to unzip it. Anywhre you want. Open up the folder that got unzip, and then run the setup.exe file.

uhh. Sorry if this is irrelevent since you're taking the files down, but I already downloaded them, and combined them, and now the main file is in .rar format...which cant be recognized by my computer, just like the parts of the file. Download the quickzip. It'll unzip the rar files for you. Then click on the setup.exe file in the folder after it's been unzipped.

And I tried it, and its telling me that either one of the individual files I downloaded is corrupt, or once I combined them to get the entire PWENG file, something is wrong with that.

This is frustrating. problem after problem after problem. >.<
I think I'm just not lucky with computers. Bleh. I'll continue downloading the direct full client until Tor can get the files up on a different server.

You downloaded these files right, and then all of them are in the same directory? Then you click on create_PWeng.exe, and then it makes the files whole. Then you unzip the PWENG.rar file and then once it's unzip you click on setup.exe.

Well, I had the same problem Cetan did.. I got the corrupted file message after the parts were put back together and attempted to unzip it using WinRAR.

Cetan, try downloading the entire file at once... it worked for me.

If you do not know of what is bittorrent, i suggest you not trying to download from it as i predict further problems coming. You can read up on what is torrents in wikipedia, google, etc.
Actually, whats your problem now with d/ling from Tor's server? If its a corrupted file, just re-d/l that piece? Problems with combining/extracting? See my screenshot above(on page 3). You should have exactly what you see in my screenshot, PWENG.rar.1, PWENG.rar.2, PWENG.rar.3, PWENG.rar.4, PWENG.rar.5, PWENG.rar.6, PWENG.rar.7, PWENG.rar.8, Create_PWENG.exe, and make sure all of these files is in the same folder.
Double click the Create_PWENG.exe and press ok. the PWENG.rar will be created in that folder, extract it using WinRAR to any location you like. then go into the extracted folder and run setup.exe to install.

I hate WinRaR! I just got through uninstalling it. I'm going to try this method again but I don't know that it'll work cause I may not be able to get WinRaR again without paying. I was only on a trial version. :mrgreen:

WinRAR will work forever even after the 40 day trial. I have been using it for over 4 years now.

It would be nice if the file that they make you download wasn't a torrent. And they kinda should have had it up on the site like...3 weeks ago so everyone could get it in time. Especially since it takes 3 days to download if you dont leave your computer on overnight and fry the hard drive.

Ok so far I gave up on the torrent b/c I was getting some error that erased my progress. It was unusual for my pc cause I don't have trouble w/ torrents. Anyways, I'm working my way through the direct files now that Tor posted. Hopefully if my crazy connection doesn't act up again I'll have the whole thing by the end of the day.

So yeah, these files are much faster, and I should be able to get on tonight or tomorrow. I'm going out-....I wont bored people with my social plans, but I will be on tomorrow, and I'll start my character's profiles on the introductions board. ^_^

EDIT2: Winrar is still telling me the files are corrut. Something about 'unexpected end of archive'

@_@ oh wells. I'm at like 36% on the torrent. Just 2-3 more days to go o.O

When Tors files did not work for me I went to the official website to try it from there. The torrent is 12.9kb so I knew its not that. I tried the one at MMOsite.com like it said. I made an account and everything but i cant understand how to download. When Im at the download page it just says that since im a member I can go into a member server.

Since I couldnt get that to work Im now downloading from filefront. Im downloading all 10 files at the same time =P. But can anyone please tell me how I can put them all into 1 folder and then make it work. I couldn't understand Tors directions so maybe someone can help me?Im wayy beind from everyone...

Sora which file did you download?

I downloaded all the files you gave and then getumwanna's full client. The reason I did that was because the data1.pck file was showing incomplete everytime I went to verify the files. And the data1.pck in the getumwanna file was just fine but it isn't the full client. It's missing some files including the install.exe file. So I just got the quickzip and opened up getumwanna's client extracted everything in it. Then went back and opened up your files to extract the files that were missing into the Perfect World folder that had already been created.

Voila! I got the complete client that works! Now not everyone may have to do this. This is just how I got the game to fully install and work for me. So Ebil is having the same trouble so I'm helping her get the full download together.

Is there any particular reason why when I try to download the full client from this link [ http://files.getumwanna.com/PWENG.rar ] it saves as a 0kb file and doesn't continue downloading or sometimes will say "service unavailable"? And of course when I try to open it, winrar says its a damaged or corrupted file.

I'd rather download it all at once rather than in pieces >.<
