Facebook has ruined my life.. and other lives.

It just ruined my life by causing me to procrastinate more... all in all i can stop using facebook but i'd rather not... I've found so many people i know and knew.. and "randomly met" XD

The only thing that I hope for is... that no more "facebook"-ish type of websites come out into the open like it did .. again.

It's just that every year people jump to something else.
I wouldn't say its ruining too many people's lives but.. i know a few people who almost always talk about facebook.

The freakier sides to FB:
-Loads of pedophiles on it right now.
-Loads of stalkers.. honestly.. its freaky.. i have people i dont know saying "hey! i read your facebook profile.. i didn't know you liked this and that!"
OH! And hey! I checked you events, can i come with you to one of them?"

I've never heard of it and i'd rather not find other black people who will send me weird messages which I will take several minutes searching word per word on urbandictionry.com. Haha; It's happened before.

I just thought everyone had that website. It was huge back then. Like 60k online members per day. They had this feature where you can try to get MOTW (Member of the week) Just by voting for youself. I almost got it once...lol. It was fun =D

i personally don't like websites like facebook and myspace. the only reason i have it is because people refuse to keep in touch through regular means, i.e. emailing and phoning, heck even actually SEEING each other IN PERSON! D'x

I hate it when people in my class just add me after talking to me for one day. But they NEVER say anything to me on facebook. Very myspace-like -- the competition for the most number of friends. And you have all those add-on applications that clutter up everything >__< If there was one application I'd get, it would be one that would automatically DENY all requests to add the application! I'm tired of pressing deny for everything. I HATE the applications!! They're like chainmails, basically. Like, someone sends it to you, and if you added it, you'll be forced to tell your other friends to get it; otherwise, there's no point in getting the application. It's just there.

Well... what can I do? I cannot go against the fad. Everyone's so entrenched in it; there's nothing else you can do but join. If you don't join, then you have no way to maintaining contact.

But! I have to admit that I like using Xanga. I don't know why but I think it's neat. I still maintain mine but it's sad that my friends from highschool migrated to face-fucking-book. We used to stay in touch through there or like update each other on what we're doing in college. Nowadays, I just use it to vent or talk about random stuff. It's good. I don't need to go to a psychiatrist. XD

Yup sora I had a few accounts on blackplanet. It was my first "community" type website that I ever joined. Well actually, asianavenue.com was, then I joined blackplanet which was ran by the same company. It was a pretty huge hit back then. I was like only 15 or 16 then. It was really fun and I enjoyed it, minus all the weird spam that I got in my inbox about free porn and penis enlargement pills. LOL.

I even made a website to support blackplanet.com, asianavenue.com and migente.com I left them though after they fucked up their website and made version 2. They became a myspace.com copycat. My other website was http://www.romeo-help4u.com The name is nerdy and cheesy but i learned a lot.
