So, the closed beta ends soon. With the coming of open beta, a fresh start, and (some people) 3mil, what do you plan on going?

I'm personally torn between Human Warrior, Mage, and Werebeast.

In my eyes

Warriors - Balance. A bit of this and that. Doesn't excel at anything, but doesn't have a weak area either. (besides magic anyway)
Mage - Big number sprouter. I don't know much about them to be honest. I've just been a mage fan of recent. Its still in the "maybe" stages
Werebeast - TEH TANKAGE. No one else tanks like them when they build for it. But I won't really be a tank Werebeast. Probably a Hell aligned werebeast. Just want the HP so I can tank crap. And of course, Armageddon.

I'm leaning towards Werebeast because it seems like they have the least amount of popularity, and I tend to play the underrated classes.

WereFox for me.
I think they are the most versatile class. Both physical and magical, both tank and untouchable.

Mage/Priest/Fox.

<.< Still a spellcaster fan. Not much has changed for me. Characters are ready to go as well when OB starts.

Krescen, you were a Mage during CB

How was leveling? Did you find it hard? Quick killing? A lot of resting for MP?

Water Shield is godly after level 24 for keeping you standing. It keeps your MP high, while Dew keeps your HP high.

Leveling was akin to Priest, highly fragile. However, mage damage is unprecedented. Send a couple of mages to team up, the monsters won't even get to hit you before death. Level 19 was a difficult moment, yet after 24 was when things became quiet easier. Mages do eat MP faster then any other class though, but with water shield, you won't be sitting for long. Before they know Dew, they will be sitting for HP rather then MP, for that use Fire Shield. Until level 14, you won't really be sitting, so you just need defense (Earth Shield).

I had a lot of fun with Mage, and look forward to getting further next time. I will, however, not simply play one character next time. People may find it more complicated trying to find me on any of my three characters. I'll be working on crafting as well.

I might do warrior 60% and archer 40% I saw an archers crit...18k!!!!! They are awesomely good at damage.

Archers and Mages are the two leaders when it comes to Standard Raw Damage. Archers even have long skills that resemble magic. Archers just do not have the magic defense and have to be concerned with holding range, together making them harder to use against monsters then other classes, and suffer more downtime then a mage due to the lack of restoration skills as well as ammo dependency. They are leaders in the PVP area though.

All the female type characters (that would magician, Werefox, and Elf Priest) With the Elf Priest being my main. Not sure why, just seems like the kind of class the real Matari would be.

<.< You can have a female warrior and a male mage, or a female archer and a male priest. The classes you have listed are the spell caster types. There is 5 female classes, and 5 male classes, yet only 6 classes total.

Nothing wrong with preferring priest though.

My bad, sorry I guess I didn't try all that hard to make a male mage, don't really want a male priest or male werefox.
Sorry :/

Nothing says you have to. >.> The key is that, you could have made a female warrior or female archer. Saying you took all the female-type classes means you had all 5.

As well, I'm not really upset. I'm pointing it out so that others do not get confused or get the wrong idea, as well as in case you did not know you could be a female warrior or female archer. Female Warriors are actually quiet common. >.>

I'm probably gonna main as a priest, if only to get used to the game/world before jumping into a damage class.

My main charrie will probably be a Werefox, but I'll definately have a Priest on the side. Just can't wait for OB to begin.

Everyone is on the edge of the clock waiting for the passage of said week. Most of us have our plan as well (minus guild).

I learned the best thing you need to do is figure out what other people will have the same race as you do. Those are the people you will be partied with, and that's what I've been paying attention to as well.

Werefox hellz yeah.

I enjoyed it a lot.

That and Elf Priest... Since I would love to try that out; try diffrent builds and whatnot... maybe write a guide o.o

Mhm- that sounds like a good idea. Its always best to start out in a group- so you can grow together.
Well, I have pretty much nothing to do now- I'm quite sick. I have the flu, the stomach flu, I also recently found out that my blood test confirms that my immune system is disintegrating (blame it on last year's diet- I lost 26 pounds in 5 weeks- I probably sabotaged myself in the process- dear, loving puberty!) So, my parents are shoving food into my mouth so I can get stronger. My doctor even said that I'm too weak for antibiotics or any sort of supplement that could aid me. I've been out of school for a week, and am to return on Thursday. Well, my problems are not of your concern, I apologize for the rant- it's just that I'm drunk with boredom. Hope to see you all ingame once the time comes.

A guide? Great idea. I'm too lazy to do such a thing- maybe once I get better. No promises.

a good guide for each class would help those who have never played that class. though i think im not good enough to write a comprehensive one yet. :x

Probably a Mage and Archer. I love the long range attacks and high dmg. I've gotten used to this type of playing style more than any other. I sometimes get tempted to play a Priest character but after a while other players make me regret it. They get so irritating and I end up only helping my friends or ppl who look like they really need help.

Wow, I my family must be exoranating this disease, we all seem to have it, and I seem to have the worst case of it :D

Getting stuck helping out due to being dragged around by your own kindness is alright so long as you have another character to escape to. It's much more reasonable to one's own perspective if, after complaining about everyone wanting your priest-ly help, that you switch to another character and find yourself asking a Priest for help.

lol what precisely what happened to me during closed beta. Thing is just I do not have any other chararcters to escape to. In a sense, helping everyone is just like helping yourself, like what you said. haha xD

Parties are quite good in this game, but everyone's exp suffers if you level with someone who's level is too far different from your own. You get about 60% for two same-leveled people fighting together (which then sums to 120%), yet if they are more than 5 levels away, exp is less then 30% (about 30% for the one with the most levels, which sums to a technical "less then 50%" due to the level difference)

I tested this myself with monsters which gave me 300exp when I was level 29. With another level 29, monsters were giving me about 200exp each. With a level 24, monsters were giving me more like 100exp each.

Mix that with quests, and it's clear that this game is not intended for use with power leveling.
