I know, Tempest was to be technologically represented by the dark environment with the beams of blue. It gave a Tempest Effect. Even the girls are glowing blue. >.>

I don't like it at all. It goes totally against the idea of Tempest. The background has potential, but the foreground characters are crap.

I do have to agree with the others (that coming from the leader of a clan called Dream with a tech image based forum :roll: )

I do think it's a bit too much of a clash of colours, if you are intent on using that render then I'm sure there is alot you could do to make it fit your clan name more. However personally I would say get a completly new one that is more relevent, It isn't like there isn't millions out there. ;)

There is no way to get 'another one' because this isn't official in any way. This is a RANDOM image which has fancy words and effects which I wanted to do with some of my spare time. If 300 people get the idea to make 500 images each, I won't mind, and it will be considered the same way. THERE IS NOTHING OFFICIAL ABOUT THIS IMAGE!!!

<.< Does everyone have the idea now, or will people continue to insult my work because they expect it to be something official and thus have much higher expectations then a 30 minute piece of work.

As Kres said that isn't the offical banner no so need to call the banner crap and rip it apart. At least give feedback and tell him what he could do to improove it more >_>. He can't make the image better if you just say "that's crap" or "it sucks". D=

ya I already sent kres like 10 backgrounds so the banner can relate to tempest.

The Banner was not built to relate to Tempest. Either offer comments about the picture itself that have nothing to do with Tempests or Guilds, or offer feedback on how to change the text to work with the image.

The image was intended to be a revision from an image Seno gave a while ago, as I said I would do, and then I pulled an unused background randomly from a folder on my computer. I put them together, then realized I didn't actually have words for the image. This is what I came up with for words AFTER the image was done. I didn't even plan for it to relate to Tempest during it's creation, so if it does not, then that is no fault of the image.

I was more having fun using colors on the girls to show different emotions. >.>

The whole point of posting work is so it can be criticised imho. I get pissed off when people say my work looks good etc because it doesn't benefit me whatsoever...well apart from the size of my ego but thats another matter. ;)

Don't take critisism as a bad thing, you can go back and update your work with it or remember it for the future however it all helps.

I know the banner is unofficial but you are the leader so people are going to expect you to do all the work for them... trust me on that one. :roll: Just seems to me like they were giving advise onto making it a usable banner for the clan once you have somewhere to put it because tbh it is a nice piece to work with.

Perhaps not the best for the guild as it seems, but as an image, its very nice and I like the way you created a perspective on the walls. It worked very well. Good Job. :)

I've realized that 16 x 16 image is rather small, and while I still plan on producing some sort of image for the guild icon (I beileve a single sword icon might be better suited rather than the double), I think the two swords with the photoshop "wind effect" might be better suited for some sort of banner, I'll be working on it tonight and post the results up on saturday (unless I can get a chance tonight)

Ok, so I saw this post right? I love the compositon of your work- you even inspired me a bit. So, since I had nothing to do- I made a banner just for the fun of it. The character you see is actually Azra- the a 3d character of mine I use in Poser. I didn't have any head-wings or ears to give her for the flair, so sorry. But anyway, here goes!
btw- It still needs a few touch-ups, like around the frame- those spots need to be deleted and tidied up, lols, but I'll do that later.

Its too bright parker. I only see the guy in front. Tempest blends in with the fireworks so its hard to seee.
