You should look at Kahmei's thread and maybe ask him some quesions. He solos pretty effectively, but he also wears light armour. Just a heads up for a resource.

As Igna posted, I put something to this effect in my own thread, but I'll break it down here for easier reading. As far as I'm concerned, any sensible priest build should be able to both solo effectively and support. Furthermore, any priest build that accomodates magic weapons and robes is going to be more or less sensible. So with that said, let's talk about spending points.
Magic weapons come in four varieties: wands (21,31,41,etc.), magic swords (24-94), banner staves (27-97), and jewel quoits (29-99). With the exception of wands, adding 3 points to your INT per level will allow you to use any of these as soon as they become available. This will also give you the stats to use your HH weapons.
This leaves you two points per level to play with. You're going to need at least one point in STR every other level to meet the requirements for robes (magic armour), and the rest of those points you can either put in INT for more damage* or CON for more hp.
If you end up looking at my other thread, I recommend either the "Low CON hybrid" or "Medium CON hybrid" builds. Hope that helps. :)
*Edit: I should also mention in case you don't know: more damage in this case means more "basic magic attack", a percentage of which is used to determine the strength of both attacks and heals. Keep this in mind when choosing between INT and CON; higher INT priests regen more hp with Whisht and heal more with Sapience.

EP's can own in PvP, but every class can, as long as you have good EQ.
