ok.. Since I AM the one at blame here.. I will tell u what happened and how it came to this.. I love the way the quest guide starts out.. thats why I used it.. I never thought that I was stealing it, but thats cool.. as soon as PWI comes out.. it will be fixxed.. now.. as to the guides.. all of the guides in the quest section on my guilds site.. was wrote by me and fellow guild members.. I am in the process of typeing everything over I have been emailed and am still playing arouhd with editing it with different fonts, spaces, etc.. so.. Thanks for addressing everything else I said besides the "crediting 1pw." Think of it from a viewpoint of Anemos, who works hard at editing the wiki. One day he comes across a site that has word-for-word, copied every quest guide he's written. On a scan, he sees that NO credit whatsoever has been given to him. Why would 1pw think ahead and say "oh, they must be meaning to credit us later"? Sorry, your excuses don't fly. You copied, you got caught, you took it down, and that should have been the end of it. But now you come onto here and claim they were stolen from asiapworld, when our guides were given credit 5 months before asiapworld even put their guides up. Gtfo pl0x.

First sentence makes sense. There IS no way a community can know if the website you were doing would ever give them credit. For all we know, your website could have been fully completed, and no credit would have ever been given. It's not immature, it's logical. Seeing someone take the time to post quest guides but not type 1 sentence giving credit, it just makes more sense that that person doesn't plan on "inserting credit later." Katora should have asked permission from 1pw in the first place anyway, not simply assume it'd be ok if he copy pasted them first and put in credit a few days later (or whatever).

But I guess not everyone is mature enough to handle situations correctly.

Actually it isn't immature to assume someone was copying something and gave no credit whatsoever to the real person or group of people who put it together.

Would you copy someone else's book and publish it? No.

If you noticed (what "seemed like") someone copied homework/an essay of yours word for word are you going to say it's immature to assume they copied it? No. You're going to take action, ask questions and whatnot.

In a way both situations are like this. It's not about giving them credit after you've completed your website it's about doing it right then and there. If someone manages to copy the whole guide why not just copy the link or name of the person who made the guide aswell.

Katora told me he was planning on crediting you guys. He is a good friend of mine and I believe what he tells me. He told me that he did not credit you guys in the beginning because he wanted to get everything up and running then add that in. I know there was no way of you knowing this but it could have been handled in a much better way.

The asiapw site has a lot of information. About the quest copying thing. I did almost all 1-35 lvls myself for like a week straight. I remember a forum dude was directly copying the wiki from our site. Because a member on apw forum even told him to stop copying. Plus i had some linkbacks from asiapw because the guy posted where he was copying the guide. That thread was deleted about 2-3 months ago though.

Definately though, we were the first to have a quest guide up. Because I was spamming the pw-my forums everytime I updated the wiki.

It's all cool though. It's a wiki after all.
