In his childhood, he often visited it, but something happend in the past which caused him to block out his memories of the events of seven years ago. On the day after he gets settled in, he meets a girl carrying a backpack with wings on it. Her name is Tsukimiya Ayu and he begins to recall the memories he had lost.

Kanon has a great OST. Its a good series, not as good as Clannad, but still a great series. The ending was a little x___x though.

One of my favorites, even though it has a really bad style of... one sob story per girl, then forget about her for the rest of the series :S. Still, an emotional rollercoaster and one of the best :O

Other than the fact that one is seriously old and the other one is more recent. Does the plot/story stay the same?

the ending was all fucked up though. It was like all of me being depressed and emo for the first 23 episodes was all for nothing.

And.. having never watched 02, I'd just recommend 06 for the newer style by KyoAni :3. I looked at screenshots of 02, and it seemed... old D:

It was a feel good ending, But to have everything they built up for 23 episodes to be killed in those 10 minutes of the last episode. Like, what the hell?

Mai owned everybody. Sorry. Shiori never stood out to me as a good character, not sure why. Ayu was a not too intelligent loli half the height of Yuichi, Makoto was trying to hard to be a tsundere, and Mai had a SWORD. No contest.

I hated clannad. So boring, but Kannon was really good IMO. The music was superb. The storyline was beyond realism but it ended nicely even though my girl didn't get picked.

I couldn't watch clannad. It was so boring for like 10 episodes, nothing even developed. Confusing as hell. Actually the first 15 was boring to me.

However I did like the last episode 24, anothe world or something where he ended up with the girl I liked.

lol, i didn't like Tomoya. But like seriously, Kanon was really confusing for me, but i loved Clannad, I prefer Clannad over Kanon.
