can't get in since last server update

last night server went down for update, now i cannot get back in, it lets me go thru loggin in process, gets to the part "Entering Perfect World" then shuts down and gives me un readable error message. I created a new char and got in just fine, i need my main char back. Help!

After failing to patch, please goto the following directory:

Perfect World Internationa\config\element\update.txt

We need your entire update log. Link it here in this thread, or paste the entire log into this thread.

We are collecting your patch log information in order to diagnose and fix any patching problems that are out there.

Some logs may be too long to post here.

Please send your dxdiag logs to our tech support email. For Win XP, Start > Run type in "dxdiag" , press enter. Click on the button at the bottom that says "Save all information". save the file where you can keep track of it. Please put your email name in the name of the dxdiag log file name.

You can send them to techsupport at perfectworldinc dot com , just follow these instructions please

So we need two log files from those of you who are having problems patching. Your dxdiag.txt and your update.log.

Please take a screenshot of the issue when it pops up. You can press the Print Screen key on your keyboard to capture the image. Open Paint or your graphic editor program and save the screenshot as a JPG or PNG. Then attach it to your email reply back to us.

Please put your email name in the name of the image file when you save it.

Also, please attach a copy of the following file to your email reply from the game directory:

Program Files\Perfect World Entertainment\Perfect World International\config\element\update.log

When you reply back, please change the subject line of the email to "Can not patch - sending log files" to make it easier to send along to the server guys, so we can address this issue.

Its not a joke.

I tried to solve it for couple hours now :] and i made it.

Patched like 7 computers right now.

To download patch without problem do THIS:
enter ur game folder etc.
C:\pwi\Perfect World International\element\data

DELETE element.data or tasks.data (basicaly u need to delete file that is blocking the download)

start the patcher and chose restart download ...

DONE ^^

GL and HF in game

ps. im not 100% sure about that so comment this plz. 7/7 computers was patched
