Ecchi vampire anime ロザリオとバンパイア CAPU2 / Rosario + Vampire Capu2 has become the target of utterly draconian and shameless censorship it seems, with the crude mutilation of the title not even bothering to resort to the figurative and literal fig leaf of regional physics.
As you can see above and below, viewers in some areas are treated to mysterious pantsu occluding bats, amongst other efforts at DVD sales promotion.

The offending broadcasters in this case are Osaka TV and Aichi TV, with Tokyo MX as usual providing a completely untouched version. It seems there will be another split between the stations looking to censor and those content to allow viewers to decide for themselves what is appropriate.
Interestingly, the first season was broadcast uncensored by all… Is there some underlying factor prompting these actions?
Regarding the work itself, nobody cares about the story and the comedy and panchira are fine, so it may be one to watch, assuming there are no bats in the way of things.
