I was at a lan party the other day, and some people were watching The Big O (an anime). Who knows about it?

Paradigm City is a place without a past. 40 years ago, something happened that wiped the memories of everyone in it. Unfortunately, the people of Paradigm City were very busy before then, making Megadueses(giant robots) and monsters. People who were born after the memory wipe are gaining/recovering memories of the past and using them to build newer threats. Roger Smith keeps Paradigm City safe with the help of The Big O (a faithful giant robot), his butler Norman and the android Dorothy, Roger keeps Paradigm City safe. As problems mount and more memories surface, Roger's past and Paradigm's future begin to become suspect...

Giant robots, dark atmosphere, main character's kinda like Batman, he's got lots of gadgets and shit. Girl is an android or something, not really sure of the plot beyond that.

Some weird shit, although he does have this awesome soft metal thing that can transform into a key that form fits locks. This stuck out to me as pure win D:

Ive seen it on adult swim and I didnt like it.
I think it had an interesting story line though.

I have no idea what he says lol. Watched it way too long ago back when it was on Cartoon Network, and just remembered it when getting my golem because of its huge fists.

Well, since I already stopped playing... I was cheating. I could basically tell what kind of anime / how old it is by looking at a picture. Then I just went through your anime list until I found a couple animes that fit the picture. The only ones that threw me off were the ones you didn't watch. D:
