...to spend gold and SP to get the fist/claw skill Shadowless Kick? Now I am a heavy-armored spear WR and I am finding it very irritating that mobs after a certain level all start off with a magic attack when you approach them. So far, I've been relying on Roar of the Pride to interrupt the mob's spell casting and to avoid a heavy first hit; and sometimes Aeolian Blade but it only has a 50/50 chance to stun. Please advise :?

YES.

You will get the Shadowless Kick off before the magic attack itself.

Time it with Lion's Roar, and you will almost never get hit by the targeted monster's (heavy damage) magical attack.

I say almost because - even at level 8x with maxed out Shadowless Kick - you can STILL miss.

One point is enough though right? I don't want to be spending too much gold and SP on skills outside of the spear skill-tree XD

One point? I guess so ... note that I play a fist warrior, so I can't remember if the skill interrupt capabilities are affected by skill level.

I should think not - meaning, skill level determines damage, but if the skill hits, it will cancel out the target's magic attack anyway, so what matters is accuracy, not skill level.

Bear in mind you have to switch weapons (or go unarmed) if you plan on using Shadowless Kick and then spear skills.

Yep, that's what I was thinking. Thanks :D
