ANYHOW
I'm kind of a Flyff refugee (four+ years of cash shop nonsense finally took its toll); I like playing healing/buffing/slave classes (FOmarl in PSO, aco/priest in RO, RM in Flyff, etc.) but from what I'm reading it doesn't sound like a EP is really a slave class. So my question is.... What kind of behaviour do people expect from a support priest? Do they want you to do damage along with healing and buffing? All the skill advice I've gotten says to level Plume Shot and Cyclone....
I screwed up the level 19 EP I made, so I'm gonna make another. 8D But before I get to the levels where I need to partner, I'd like to know what's considered 'good' priest behaviour.

Priest in tis game is much different, u can kill n b jus as strong as other class, yet u can heal n revive.
ppl expect priest 2 fight with them n heal them when they hav low hp.
most of the time against boss type monster, u will heal the person taking aggro or create bubble(a higher lvl healing spell which heal the whole pt constantly)

Note: It's nothing like flyff where you're someone's heal-spam whore /: a lot of people enjoy your buffs and heal but since you can do a lot of damage (unlike Flyff because everything goes into int making you phail @ attkdmg; not mentioning that one awsum RM skill) but I've heard it takes up a lot of mp but does great damage... pretty sure it was cyclone.
Lots of guides here (http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/forumdisplay.php?f=9) and recently a member posted a guide here (http://1perfectworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4337&garpg=2#content_start) she isn't done yet but there's some goodies there.
Junk @ officials says:
1. What is a Cleric?
If you have any experience with previous MMOs, the cleric is the well-known heal&support class. You have mainly healing and buffing skills, and as such your role in a group is standing back and healing your wounded party members while ensuring they are kept buffed and dispelled of negative effects and that dead members are quickly ressurected with less experience loss. However, you are also a potent damage dealer. You tend to have low resilience compared to other classes but make up for this with devastating long range attacks.
The neat perk of priests is that they have both magical (metal element based) attacks, and physical ones (which also rely on your magic power). This makes you incredibly flexible both in PvP and PvE situations (Is the enemy wearing heavy armor? Zap him with a thunderbolt. Is he a robe-wearing mage? Use a physical attack to exploit his vulnerability.).
Other noteworthy features are an interesting debuff tree which allows you to put your enemy to sleep, stop his movement or decrease his defenses. These can be used both offensively and defensively, adding an interesting edge over the common 'stay back and heal' role of a priest. Clerics can also use mana to shield themselves from damage for a while, and they have moderate area of effect capabilities.
As such, we are looking at a very fun and balanced class that can perform in both PvP and PvE situations, and both single and party based contexts. You are hands down the best (only) support class, and you can double as a damage dealer (inferior but comparable to a mage).
Answers your first question.

Thanks, you guys. It'll be kinda fun to help out a little instead of being a total slave. >:3 And armed with knowledge, I set off to become famous! ...Or at least competent.
Celebrity status takes time :P
As for my cleric guide, new stuff is added all the time, so check back every once in a while, and you may learn something new! :)
People will fear and love you as a cleric. Clerics should never be underestimated for the potential power we hold :)
At level 44, I outdamage 2 level 70 bm's (Ones 70, other is 72) So yea cleric is pretty godly is you build it right :)

Haha, not to worry, I was joking about becoming famous. I'd rather have a small, tight group of friends ingame. 8D Crowd control, all that. /muahaha
I'm following your guide pretty closely! So far I'm doing very good damage, though waiting for Wellspring Surge to level means healing ain't fantastic--that's why there's Ironheart Blessing, though. :-P
Thanks so much for helping me out there, and I'm sure lots of other noobie EPs are grateful as well!
