View Full Version : Best MMORPG u ever played?
FlyFF? It was good and bad at the same time, but something about it is very addictive.

Never heard of it. Seems gay.

One its a very good game if you go past the greedy and worthless gms.
Two dont use gay as an insult.

Yeah, the game was ok at times and the PvP/PK really pulled me in but the constant grinding without anything else to do is what finally got to me, especially considering the best way for most classes to level was double clicking, waiting for X seconds, not much fun in it after 105 levels @_@
At the moment though I'm playing RO on a low rate server but it's still higher exp than iRO and I'm loving it, more variety in leveling methods, better classes, great guild war system and some of the best GMs I've ever seen!

Mmm I'd say ROSE or Fiesta. Not sure about Fiesta, I'm just addicted and wanting to play because it's something new but I've loved playing ROSE when it was free. Shame it went p2p. =( Although there are still some other ways to play it. xD

Private servers? Lol not reccomended due to excessive hacking.
The best MMORPG is prolly be Fiesta heh.

Yeah but there is a private server I really liked which did not have a lot of hacking and were 'realistic' in terms of exp and drop rates, although I've stopped playing ROSE now.

I've only ever played two MMO's, Flyff and Fiesta. I'd say Fiesta is the better one.
Hm. It's kinda hard to choose actually.
Long-term, Flyff has given me the most fun and has kept me on for the most time. I'm not sure if it's addiction or if I just feel attached to it. One way or another, it's been real fun at times, especially with my guild(s).
Short-term, I must say, this is hard ._. Diablo 2, MU online and Rose all come together.
Diablo 2 and MU online (private server mainly) is almost a rushing game. Leveling is easy, but getting good equips and being good at PvP is what made it so fun. The free control of the character gave it a really fun PvP ring. It's like 1st person except you see your character. No grind. Just PvP. I spend the first 3 days of the games getting to max level (or resets in MU) and then start PKing, and collecting better gear. Especially on this one great Private Server on MU, I was hooked and created a guild which was in alliance top on the server. And there was sieges like Flyff but with max stats (GM stats on private servers hence the character 'resetting' keeping your previous stats).
Then comes Rose. At first I found the interface really itchy and slow reacting but after awhile, the game became very addictive ._. I had a few friends joined the server I was playing before which made it even more enjoyable. Wings and new items made me want to play more and more xD
But yeah. Still though, Runescape was the reason I got into MMOs. And I thank it greatly for that 8D

i remember playing runescape with you Sno, hehe that was such a looong time ago, but still unforgettable. Well i did get addicted to WoW for a while, but then i found out how repetitive it was....well i guess enjoyment of a game means that you spend longer right? excluding wow, my most enjoyed game therefore would be RO, i played private server so yeh i guess it wasn't too hard...i did try flyff, i donno, i kinda got sidetracked from it and never returned O_O;;. Diablo 2 was fun as well, although again got repetitive... my weak point is that once i see a new game i instantly have to try it! i must stay on one game!!!!! thus my goal is set X.X

Id have to go with maplestory. When I was young I was a beta tester to that game and it was very addicting because you feel as if you control the actions. Just because its 2D does not mean that it sucks. The best thing was it was not crowded back then but as soon as it partnered with gay Nexon, Nexon started advertising everywhere and its always full now.(Over 5 milion characters on 1 world)Trust me thats a hell lot.
Woah...and i thought runescape was gay. I guess I can see why my nephew plays it for 10 hours a day when he came over this summer. LOL.
Definately flyff, after I thought more about it some more. Since it was my first mmorpg. The simplicity of the game was what kept me there.
Yeah, I reckon the simplicity of the game made the game much more exciting as they focus on fine tuning everything to perfection. Unlike other games which seek to expand and give much more interface and stuff to do, bugs and swiftly made products are left to rot. This builds up and soon the game just becomes very unattractive ._.

Flyff and Maplestory but now its perfect world =D

Perfect World, the game is the most beautiful one I've seen so far - BUT I totally hate how incompetent Wan Mei is running the game. There're tons of bot users on the Chinese servers, on some servers at least 50% players are not human players :( You see oceans of 'players' swarming right before your eyes, killing everything in their paths... AND in-game security is a total joke, despite Wan Mei's pass-code-game-cards and secure-with-your-cell solutions, a lot of people still got robbed. I just wish when the game releases in the U.S., it'll be sold to a 3rd party and Wan Mei won't be involved on the day-to-day operations at all.

I played FFXI for a little bit of time, I should hop onto the game and see my friends there from time to time
@mean girl, that's sorta what I'm afraid of. The security of the game. But if the massively appeals to a lot of players, then even bugs won't stop people from playing. Looking at maple story, I keep hearing that game is full of bugs and what not. But yet it's still oen of the most popular games on the net.

To Be Honest i Have Only Played Two mmorpg's First i Played Runescape For Like Two Months When i Was 10 Years Old. i Quit Shortly. Then i Found Flyff At About Age 12 And Really Liked it, Played it For Like Half A Year And Then Quit Because of v9. i Loved v6 it Was Flyff's Greatest Time By Far. i Think. Well That's About it When i Was Browsing FlyffWorld One Day i Found 1PerfectWorld And i Am Totally impressed And Will Most Likely Stay Here For Quite Some Time.

My favorite right now is probably Megaten Online. I'm in the major English-speaking guild called Globe, and it's pretty large- about 96 out of 100 possible members as of now. Not nearly as many are active though. It's always fun to do dungeon runs because of the way the battle system works in this game.
The funnest part of the game by far, however, is demon fusion. You can negotiate with any demons you encounter (although a few will ignore or attack you), and convince them to join you. Then, you can head over to the Jakyou Mansion to fuse two demons together. The result is not only usually more powerful, it also inherits skills from both its parents, which can be awakened if the demon uses or takes damage from the same type of skills. Once the skill is mastered, you can awaken it by dragging it to the demon's quickslots. A demon can only have 8 awakened skills, but it can also have a large number of dormant skills, mastered or not. In addition, demons learn new skills as they level. This makes the game quite addictive as you're always trying to fuse a demon that inherits awesome skills by levelling your current demons.

Hmm.. I'd have to say pw, flyff, sword of the new world and ragnork online. The english version of SOTNW had potential until they screwed it up. Now when I lurk on the forums it's most of the time people complaining it went f2p. Flyff though they have mostly crap gms, is still fun or use to be before v9. PW so far is very nice and I hope it stays that way. I loved closed beta(though it was really like open beta if you think about it). Not only are the graphics nice the the gameplay is too. I will be sad if this game gets messed up. >_<

I beta tested Maple Story. It was really fun, and I loved it for a while. But i grew out of it. The crazy amount of hackers didn't help.

Well I'm divided between 2
Flyff-reach 100 finally (go me)
and
Rappelz-2 lvl 100 characters (was one of the 1500 closed beta testers) this may seem odd to people but i love the grind with this game
i like flyff slightly more just cause well...I DO Tor you know what i mean :D .

man... out of the many i've played, my favorite would have to be Tibia. mainly because for about 2 years the community was awesome. i got all of my friends to start playing, but then the community got stupid, i was doing the same thing every day with no change and i got bored out of my skull. long story short, i quit and have been MMO hopping ever since. i've probably played a good 10 mmorpgs in the last 6 months or less. i'm hoping PW will be the one i stick with.
