View Full Version : Comparable to WoW?
You guys think this game is comparable to WoW? Supposedly this game has over 30million players around the world. That's a mother fuckin grip load.

Well the graphics look absolutely stunning, the best I've seen for any MMORPG out there. Hopefully the gameplay is just as good and it won't get infested with hackers.

Only thing I'm dreading is lag, the graphics remind me of Rappelz and that was a huge lag fest.

Of course you got to have a computer capable of running it on at least minimum settings without graphics lag. Otherwise you won't get much enjoyment out of it I guess.
I never playeded wow, but this game is definately something else. Ability to fly and atk monsters. Fight in air, land, and sea? Have you even heard of that in other games?
Also the character customization is amazing! You can create ugly, and beautiful people.

You can pretty much create your real face in the game. Whats more amazing is this game is f2p!

But yeah, this game (by reading) has so much to give, I would say it is Wow, except the characters are not ugly and... yeah xD And I much prefer the nature and setting of this game compared to Wow. However, Wow is a much bigger game. Probably mainly cause it has a larger map but it doesn't fully utilise everything Wow would have, I imagine. That's for vice versa too of course (i.e. Sea) but I still think, from just one look, Wow still has more stuff.
I have played neither and still, you can't really judge a book by it's cover >< So I'll see!

As a former wow player....and by examining the the PW trailers....i can say that
PW probably beats WOW in terms of graphics...WOW played on full graphics does come out with pretty good graphics (especially the full screen glow) but PW beats that with its graphics, at least i can see that in the traliers..
PW beats WoW in terms of character customization, heck it beats any game in terms of that.
PW you can fly, wow you can fly, but i think in PW your flying is less restricted, as in i heard some characters can fly from lvl1, but in WoW you must be lvl 70
Wow probaby beats PW in terms of land size
WoW is P2P, PW is F2P...enough said there
wow has many instances, as in dngeon system, i donno about PW
WoW has a pretty awesome pvp system, ( well i liked it)
i like the enjoyment of a good character, all of WoW's characters look ugly, so really i'd prefer a game like PW

For example lets say the Sony TV was the first high definition plasma Tv maker. Now if you go to a store you see tons of high definion Tvs of different companies.

*nods* true that, i wouldn't want wow to be the only game with say...mounts....or dungeons or what not, the idea is there to share ^_^
We're not saying PW copied WoW though. We're saying if it's comparable to WoW, as in how much of it is similar to Wow and which aspect of each game is better or worse than each other. It's just a discussion, and not a debate, about it so we're not saying who copied who or which game is better. Each game provides their different pros and their cons and we're discussing this in comparison to WoW, another successful mmorpg because they both have a large population that seem to play the respective games.
However, I do see where you're getting at and there is a high chance that people will come and flame us for saying Wow is worse than PW in some aspects. Then flame wars happen and of course Tor'd close the thread ^^
But since so far discussion has not really been biased and has been of a mature and sensible level, it should be fine for now. :D

I got pretty bored of WoW at about lvl 25. It's a good game, but something about it doesn't make it very addictive? Can't really explain, need to play to see it for yourselves! PW could go the same way, all depends really. I do prefer that you can fly much earlier on in PW, and the graphics are defo better! Also because it is a pretty new game (completely new for the English version) you won't go around seeing lvl 800000000000 characters calling you a noob :D I did really enjoy the pvp in WoW though, especially the warsong gulge! That was too funny :D

Lol. Yeah I find it hard getting into it properly. The pretty graphics are keeping me amused though! As is the giant wolf "cub" in feather city :o I'll need to screenie that one...

i got to 60 on wow ^_^;; but my ugly night elf (even though his the hottest model in the game, excluding BE) kept huanting me, so i quit, also it got repetetive and i got tired of saving up enough moeny for a game card every month (my mum doesnt know m playing a p2p game xD)
Oh so that's why Nanakon >_>
The only thing put me off WoW was the ugly characters xD

Never played WoW. The wait is gonna make people go back to wow though if they keep it down this long ._.

I haven't played this game yet but I am currently playing WoW. WoW has some really beautiful characters but I guess it depends on which side you are playing on. Now that the BC is out there's an great looking class on the Horde side. I would say that PW will have to really do something special to make me think it's better than WoW.
I honestly think it's just depends on the person. I don't like Evercrack but I know many who do. The main feature I see in this game that is way better than WoW is the character customization. For me that can be a blessing or a curse. I might spend countless hours sitting changing all sorts of stuff before even starting the game, lol. I'm kinda fickle like that.
I think that if the fighting in air and underwater actually works out in actual gameplay well then it will have a feature WoW doesn't. I'm curious to see the questing system on this game cause I know WoW can be very quest intensive.
My main thing about this game is that it not be a constant grinder. I've played the grinders like Maple Story and Flyff. I'm ready for something more like WoW, looks like this game might be it. I won't know for sure till I actually get to play.

Its rumored that to reach the max level (105) it takes something of 5 years for the normal player. I read that somewhere anyway. But its a quest driven game, untill later then it becomes a grindfest

Whoa 5yrs?! At least this tells us that players will have quite a time maxing the game level. As long as the grindfest holds off longer than it does on Maple I am fine with it. I think my friend will love hearing that this game is another quest driven game.

It includes a PvP system too, click on the shield after level 30 and you volunteer to be a part of the PK-Fest. As well, at any time, you can offer to duel someone. There is many other ways to fight players too, such as territorial wars (to take over the world!).

I like formal duels and players being able to choose to go into PK mode. That's always a really nice feature. :D

there is not rumors = = that is calculation. For a player who got 3mil exp per day, need 5 years to get lv105. Anyways, international version just open nearly 1 year, the highest is lv102/103. Because they using real cask to buy item for seeking dragon quest,in this game, the fastest way is doing seeking dragon quest, but just need a lot of money.
