This class is one of the most powerful and yet one of the most fragile. Their defence is embarrassing but they have great power in their spells. They are very fun to play and have the most skills from all the classes. To use the skills you put it on the key slots on the bottom of the screen. You do the by opening your skill menu and dragging them on. There is another way that mages can use skills/items and that is by creating key slots on the right side of their screen and dragging and dropping skills/items there. This can only be done by messing around with the options though.

Mages do not have any fighting pets. Any non-werefox class can only have companion pets, they can't attack mobs, and they do not require food. I'm pretty sure on this one.

Ya I just realized that now. The pets are just for show. Ill edit and remove that part.

Priests spells are faster then mage, and Priests have powerful phys atks. Their Mag Res is almost as good as a Mage, and better then a Tamer. Their Phys Def is better then a Mage or Tamer. Priests lose nothing in the damage department for being a healer, and buff just like any other class. There is nothing that calls Priests Fragile, especially if you are comparing them to other spellcasters. In fact, Tamer is the most fragile class usually, they just have something to take their damage for them. In PVP, no player will be dumb enough to just hit the pet, the Tamer dies far easier.

to be honest, the low def of Mages(or Fa shihs in the Philippine version) can be ignored... After all, once our spells can reach the higher levels... We can easily become nukers and can literally own the place. also, sinister-esteem skills(lvl 59), from what I heard from the veteran players, are quite powerful.. although they're Area of effect spells...

They are nearly the same for every class. All of them cost 200 vigor with 30 second cooldown to cause an Area Effect known for high effects. Their ultimate buff, in the end, also holds its own, to its own end.

Mages also get a high Mag Res, of huge quality, which make them near impervious to magic.

Mages clearly play their own roles.

Yeah.. Actually I tried one of the sinister skills of the Mage(Fa Shih) class earlier in pw-ph(just got sinister esteem there) named sea of flame. It's quite powerful. The magical damage is high and it stacks with the physical damage it does to all opponents in the field. quite useful in large mobs of enemies...

also, about magic res... it's not really that high, I got 200 int by lvl 59 and yet enemy spells give me around 200-300 damage. totally painful unless you're quick enough to use pots or equip bronze amulets(we have low hp... unless we increase con or use hp stones) X_X

A Mage has 3k hp at level 100 if they have nearly no Con.
A Mage has 5.2k hp at level 100 if they have 150 Con.
Both of the above calculations are done with a Mage having no equipment.

Ah, I missed that in the description, that's quite interesting. This is what gives Fire it's value, it is the only Mage spell which causes Physical Damage.

The target and all surrounding enemy within it's radius of 12.0 meters, suffer basic magic attack with added 200% of equipment attack plus 3860.4 of fire elemental damage and the same physical damage.

>.> This officially makes Fire the most useful elemental, and Water strictly for buffs. I use to be comparing ultimates with 3860.4 (200%) for fire, 9648.9 (500%) for water, and 8400.4 (500%) for earth, which made Fire look weak, but with that add-on, I can see it's value.

Calculations still say Mages can be awesome magic tanks, better then at least the fighter classes.

i really dont know too much about mages but the water spell that slows the target is incredibly useful in TW for catapult pullers if you wanna think about leveling it =o
